WORLD SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY 2023

Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Conference is organised by the Unified Association of Campaign Against Suicide (UACAS) to commemorate September 10 World Suicide Prevention Day 2023 in Lugbe, Abuja (Sept. 4, 2023), NSUK, Nasarawa State (Sept.5, 2023) and Emir of Suleja’s Palace, Suleja, Niger State (Sept. 6, 2023), all in Nigeria, West Africa, Africa.
Also, 7th and 8th September is cycling in Abuja Airport Road and AYA, Asokoro
9th September (4pm to 6pm): suicide survivors sharing their stories of how they overcome the adversity.

PART C: Time: 8PM. Return Home and light a candle by your window side as recognised by IASP. It is an act of acknowledgement demonstrating support for Suicide Prevention, to remember a lost loved one, and for the survivors of suicide.
The goal of this event is to provide participants and general public (recorded videos and audios) with knowledge of warning signs of suicide, declining mental health, depression, emotional issues and difficult situations.
The rate of suicide in our today’s society cannot be overemphasised therefore, this campaign has become even more imperative in Nigeria and Africa at large
