They are all listed on the map here: www.leve.no/verdensdagen/. \nOn the evening of the WSPD\, on the Universitetsplassen in the city cenre of Oslo\, volunteers light 610 candles in memory of all who took their own life in Norway in 2022. \nVolunteers then carry the candles to the parliament and hand over a campaign signed by over 21000 individuals\, encouraging the government to do more of what we know works to prevent suicide. \n

DESCRIPTION:World Suicide Prevention Day brings attention to mental health\, resources and training to increase community capacity to support people with thoughts of suicide and to reduce the stigma that stops individuals from seeking help for matters related to mental health. \nEvery year on September 10th\, communities all over the world work together to prevent suicide. Every year we lose thousands of people to suicide. We have all been impacted by suicide. Too often stigma and shame prevent people from talking openly about their struggles leaving them in the dark. \nThe time has come to reduce the stigma and taboo about suicide. Now is the time to share resources\, stores and band together as a community. Our goal is to reach out to those affected by suicide\, to work in partnership with schools and community groups to reduce stigma related to suicide\, to build community capacity by equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to people at risk of suicide\, to provide resources for suicide support\, and to support those who have lost loved one to suicide.

DESCRIPTION:On World Suicide Prevention Day\, Peaasi.ee and Reval Café will hold mental health cafeś in Tallinn\, Tartu\, Viljandi\, and Pärnu. A large number of suicides can be prevented\, which is why Peaasi.ee puts focus on supporting people through mental health first aid. At the mental health café\, people have the opportunity to talk to volunteers who have completed the mental health first aid training. The volunteers offer help in Estonian\, English\, French\, German\, and Russian. \nThe cafés in Tallinn and Tartu will also hold a roundtable discussion at 13.30-15.30. Everyone is invited to share ways that help them during difficult times and discuss how we can support the people in our lives. The discussions are led by experienced psychologists and Peaasi.ee will ensure that everyone has an equal chance to participate and share their experiences. DESCRIPTION:The Community-Based Mental Health Project of ADD International is organising multiple events to observe World Suicide Prevention Day from September 10 to 13\, 2023\, in Bangladesh. The programme includes human chains\, rallies\, mass gatherings\, discussion sessions\, a radio talk show\, and a webinar with popular news media. The activities will be held in different locations\, both in rural and urban areas and at the national level. \n As part of World Suicide Prevention Day activities\, a live radio talk show will be held in Dhaka\, Bangladesh\, through one of the popular FM radios from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on 10 September. On the other hand\, on the same day\, a half day-long workshop on appreciating life and ways to prevent suicide will be held at the Clinical Psychology Department at the University of Dhaka for students and parents.
