WORLD SUICIDE PREVENTION DAY LITHUANIA 2023

On September 8th (Friday), a live broadcast of the press conference will take place at the Vilnius City Public Health Bureau. The conference will cover topics such as the expansion and reform of mental health services, suicide statistics in Vilnius, suicide prevention strategy (services provided by the Vilnius City Public Health Bureau for suicide prevention), suicide risk factors (directly related to the feeling of burden, particularly relevant to the elderly population). The conference will also briefly highlight data from the Vilnius City Public Health Bureau’s adult lifestyle survey, shedding light on loneliness and the sense of happiness. 

On September 9th (Saturday) 1PM, the Vilnius Public Health Bureau “Vilnius Healthier” has been contributing to the organization of bicycle rides for several years in a row – this year as well! We invite all residents to register for the bicycle ride, thereby increasing awareness about suicide and reducing the prevailing stigma in society surrounding the topic of suicide. 

On September 9th (Saturday) 1PM, Conversations in the meadow of Vingis Park about emotional well-being and support possibilities. Partners of the Vilnius Public Health Bureau “Vilnius Healthier” will present their activities in interactive ways, inviting you to discuss emotional health. Partners: Youth Line, Silver Line, Children’s Line, Look Deeper, Crisis Management Center, Women’s Assistance Center, Men’s Crisis and Information Center. 

On September 9th (Saturday) 3PM, Webcast Discussion Live recording and broadcasting of the webcast. Speakers will discuss suicide-related topics.
